Pretty Ballerinas is a brand of ballerina flats and other shoes launched in 2005 on Although the Pretty Ballerinas range was launched in 2005, the shoes have been made in the same village on the Mediterranean island of Menorca, by the same family, since 1918.

Each Pretty Ballerinas shoe is named after a female screen or music icon, to help customers remember which shape suits them best. Pretty Ballerinas opened its first boutique at 34 Brook Street in Mayfair, London in February 2007, followed by stores in Pont Street, Belgravia, and Threadneedle Street in the City of London.

The following year, Pretty Ballerinas arrived in continental Europe, with two stores in "Barrio Salamanca" – Madrid’s most famous shopping district. The first stores in North America were opened to great fanfare in autumn 2009 in Montreal, Canada, and at 1034 Lexington Avenue in New York. In 2009, more stores opened in Taipei in Taiwan and Zagreb in Croatia, as well as in El Corte Ingles in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. In 2011, Italy welcomed its first store at 52 Via Della Spiga in Milano, and yet more stores were launched in Beverly Hills, Tel Aviv, Athens, Istanbul, the Arts Hotel in Barcelona, and Covent Garden in London. The demand for Pretty Ballerinas in the United States was such that a second New York store also opened just off Madison Avenue on East 67th Street, as well as a second California store in Santa Monica.

Pretty Ballerinas continues to conquer the world of ballet flats in Australia, with stores in Sydney Westfield in the Central Business District, in Chatswood Chase, and in Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne, Victoria.
